Police Chief Educates PBTC About New Drug Testing

Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman gave attendees at the May PBTC meeting a firsthand look at the Drager Drug Test 5000 (pictured), a portable mouth-swab device that provides a new way to confirm the presence of seven drugs including marijuana, cocaine, opiates, amphetamines, and more.

Concerns about impaired driving have increased since the¬†passing of November’s Proposition 64, or the Adult Use of Marijuana Act, which legalized certain aspects of marijuana usage.¬† For a TV news report on Chief Zimmerman’s presentation, please click here.
