Sea World To Present On Proposed New Coaster

On Wednesday, February 8, 6:00pm, SeaWorld will do a presentation on the Electric Eel Roller Coaster to the Mission Bay Park Committee. Location of meeting: Santa Clara Recreation Center, Mission Beach.

Presented by SeaWorld President, Marilyn Hannes, Phases I and II of Ocean Explorer will be reviewed and a vote of approval will be asked of the MBPC.

The community is welcome and encouraged to attend. SeaWorld staff will be available before and after the meeting to answer questions.

February Meeting Features Capt. Jerry Hara

The February monthly meeting of PBTC will include an update on police dispatch and communications from Captain Jerry Hara, Commanding Officer of the Communications Division of the San Diego Police Department.

Dog Park Improvement Is Focus of January Meeting

Improvements to the Capehart Dog Park on Soledad Mountain Road will be the featured topic of discussion at the Pacific Beach Town Council’s January monthly meeting. Ron McChesney will be the speaker.

The meeting will take place at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, January 18 at the Crown Point Jr Music Academy on Ingraham Street.

Annual Harvest Wine Tasting is Nov. 12

Pacific Beach Community Foundation is hosting their annual Harvest Wine Tasting at the Broken Yolk on November 12 at 4:30 pm.  There will be more than 40 wines for tasting and auction along with a silent auction and of course, hors d’oeuvres. November Meeting: Pipeline & Bees

Todd Gloria To Speak At September Meeting

Councilmember Todd Gloria will address the PBTC membership at its September monthly meeting, to discuss his goals for addressing the concerns of San Diegans.

There will also be a report and discussion on Ballot Measure J, which affects the DeAnza Cove Revitalization Project, the Mission Day Park Master Plan, tidelands maintenance and the Mission Bay Park Improvement Fund.  Educate yourself on this important measure, which will be on the November ballot.

The meeting takes place at 6:30 on September 21st at the Crown Point Junior Music Academy.

Support Our Emergency Services Personnel With a P.A.E.S.A.N Donation

yamaha-vikingPacific Beach could not operate without our Emergency Services personnel – join us in saying “Thanks!” at the community picnic on Sept. 28th. For this event we honor our first responders.

This year, we are raising funds to purchase a replacement Yamaha Viking at a cost of $14,000 for the San Diego Police Beach Team. Update: As of August 30, we have raised $9,000 and $5,000 more is needed. Please consider donating to this cause and plan to attend the community picnic.
