Clean PB

Clean PB

Clean PB Day - Monthly 9:00 a.m. – noon, Clean PB Day is the first Saturday of each month (except in July it is held July 10).   Come to the Lifeguard Tower (end of Grand).  Even if for one hour; please join us for this monthly clean-up.  Sponsored by your PB Town Council (PBTC), Safe & Beautiful Committee - we are non-profit, so your time qualifies for community service.  We supply gloves, bags, etc – all the tools you need to help keep our beach, bay and streets clean.  Join us.  The rewards of volunteering are immeasurable.

[Note: All volunteers under 18 years old must have their waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Please do not attend the event without this permission as it is mandatory. Everyone, especially those under 18 needing parent’s approval: click this link to get your Volunteer Waiver.]

Clean PB Campaign
CleanPB.com and Pacific Beach Town Council worked closely with design students from The Art Institute of San Diego in a program they created as a class project. Their approach to helping our community with its trash and litter problem in using humorous messages to encourage people to use trash cans was the result of a $12,900 grant from SAPPI Ideas That Matter campaign. You’ll see comical signs on trash cans (such as “I’m starving, feed me”) throughout the PB business district as well as along the beach areas.  A ‘Welcome Kit’ for new residents of Pacific Beach includes a brochure to introduce the CLEAN PB concepts and explain how all forms of trash and litter can be handled including recycling, large furniture disposal, vehicle donations, community cleanup projects and much more.
