A program of business block captains, co-sponsored by PBTC and the Pacific Beach Planning Group in partnership with Discover PB, has been launched for Garnet Avenue. Likened to “neighborhood watch for businesses,” the program’s objective is to facilitate communication among businesses and to work together for a more lively, thriving business district. The first phase of the program covers from Crystal Pier to Ingraham Street.
One business leader on each block serves as the “block captain.” We’re grateful to the following individuals who’ve stepped up to better our community. Listed by Garnet block number:
700 (Crystal Pier to Mission Blvd.): Scott Slaga/Joe Bartling of 710 Beach Club
800 (Mission to Bayard): Katie Cook of Prospect Home Finance
900 (Bayard to Cass): Bernard Lebel of California Sock Company and Amy Ballester of Crushed (co-captains)
1000 (Cass to Dawes): Maria Pagan of Steak N Fries
1100 (Dawes to Everts): Collette Foxworth of Rhythm’s Chicken & Waffles
1200 (Everts to Fanuel): Tom Leonard of SD Tap Room
